About the Artist

From my home surrounded by a cathedral made of the Rocky Mountains, I use painting and sculpture* to blur the dichotomy of “natural versus man made.” The intricacies of insects. The vigor of shards of sunlight splitting forests. Translated into meticulously crafted artwork.

Then there’s us. Endlessly utilizing our utterly human creativity in a quest to reunite with the natural world. We do it with boats, cabins, farms, and fishing gear. Those ink drawings of hand-tied flies? They are portraits, not still life’s.

All this art began while I was growing up in Georgia. It. continued as I earned a BFA in Jewelry and Metalwork from the University of Georgia. Since then my work has been featured in juried and invitational shows in Athens, Georgia, in Denver, Colorado, and in Teton County, Idaho. This flourishing mountain community has infused new meaning into my work. Yet it also draws out ideas that have driven my artwork all along. I have landed in the perfect place to create.

*Sculpture includes wearable micro-sculptures commonly referred to as “jewelry.”
